Welcome to HalfChat. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

2. Acceptable use

Do not use HalfChat to harass, threaten, or harm others; post illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content; spam; impersonate others; or violate anyone's rights. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive users.

3. Content moderation

You can block and report users or content, including replies generated by Aura. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, typically within 24 hours of a report.

If your account is actioned and you believe it was a mistake, email [email protected] and we will review it.

4. People near you

People near you shows other members close to you, and lets them filter by Women or Men. Taking part is a choice on both sides: you can leave it from Settings → Discovery, and leaving also hides the screen from you. Telling us your gender is optional — without one you are still findable, just not by that filter.

Treat it as what it is: a screen full of strangers. Everything in section 2 applies there in full, and anyone can be blocked or reported from it.

5. Nearby

Nearby is a different feature from People near you, and it is off unless you turn it on. It uses Bluetooth and the Wi-Fi network you are on to find other members in the same place right now — not an area, but the room. It works only while both of you have it on and only while the screen is open; nothing runs in the background. What leaves your phone is a random code that changes every few minutes and carries nothing about you. Switch it off and your phone stops broadcasting at once.

6. Your content

You own the content you create. You grant us the permissions needed to store and display it so the app can function. You are responsible for what you share.

7. Ads and paid features

HalfChat is free to use and shows ads. The Privacy Policy sets out what is used to choose them.

Premium is included at no charge in this release. There is no subscription to buy and nothing is billed. If paid plans are introduced later, the price and the billing terms will be shown before any purchase, and any in-app digital subscription will be sold through Google Play Billing and managed or cancelled from your Google Play account.

Advertising space is not sold through the app. Campaigns are created by us and any commercial arrangement for one happens outside HalfChat, so nothing in these terms asks you to pay us for anything.

8. Circle Collab

Circle Collab lets businesses send promotion offers to creators. Both sides must be 18 or over. A creator can take offers once their Circle and account are big and old enough, and chooses whether to take them at all. A business may send one offer to a creator every 24 hours and a limited number a day, and a call happens only at a time the creator accepted, inside the app.

HalfChat is not a party to any collab deal and is not responsible for your personal deal. We do not handle, hold or guarantee any payment: the two of you pay each other directly, outside HalfChat. Whether the content is made, its quality, whether and when you are paid, refunds, taxes and any dispute are between the creator and the business. The amount and payments recorded in the app are a shared note of what you both told us, not a contract we enforce or a proof of payment we verify.

A Verified Business tick means our team looked at that business profile. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of the business, its offers or its payments.

Paid promotion must be disclosed. Indian advertising rules (ASCI) require a creator to label content made for a brand clearly, for example "#ad" or "Paid partnership", wherever it is posted. That is the creator's and the business's responsibility.

Never pay or share bank, UPI or card details before you have checked who you are dealing with. Report and block work in collab chats as they do everywhere else. We may remove a Verified tick, switch Circle Collab off for an account, or switch it off for everyone.

9. Termination

You may delete your account any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

10. AI features

HalfChat is provided "as is". Aura and the other AI features generate text automatically: replies may be imperfect or wrong, and they are not professional, medical, legal or relationship advice. Hold any reply to report it if it is offensive.
